Band Camp and Summer Sessions |

2009 BAND CAMP Monday through Friday August 3rd – 7th, 2009 3:00 – 9:00 pm BGHS Band Room and Practice Field All students that plan to be in Marching Band need to attend each Band Camp session ---we can’t guarantee a spot in this year’s show to anyone who is not present at Band Camp. Please contact Mr. Anderson if there is a conflict with attending any of our band camp sessions. NOTE TO OUR FRESHMEN AND STUDETNS NEW TO THE BAND: We are asking that you come to the Monday and Tuesday sessions at 1:00 PM so that our staff can spend some extra time with you. We will introduce you to some marching basics, and spend some time getting to know you, as well. Dinner will be provided. Students are welcome to bring their own lunch. BAND FAMILIES: Please join us Friday evening as we top off Band Camp with a performance just for you. COLOR GUARD and PERCUSSION Also, don’t forget the following if you are in Color Guard or Percussion Summer Sessions for Color Guard and Percussion Monday’s, June 15th, 22nd and 29th and July 13th, 20th, and 27th 4:00 – 6:00 PM BGHS Band Room and Choir Room (Students learning a second instrument should also come to these sessions) |

Goldwater Bands reign Superior Congratulations to the Symphonic Band who took home a Superior rating from the State competition held April 28th 2009 at North Canyon High School. Congratulations to the Jazz Ensemble for receiving a Superior with Distention at the State Jazz Festival held at Paradise Valley High School on April 28th 2009. WinterGuard Winter Guard state championships were held at the Coliseum at the State Fair Grounds on February 28th 2009. The Winter Guard took 11th place. Saying GoodBye to the Class of 2009 As the 2009 school year ends we must say goodbye to our Seniors. We wish them well and good luck as they enter the next phase of their young adult life.
